Naftoservis conducted an inspection of a two-diameter 105 km section of the pipeline using a tool in the crack detection technology (CRACKSONIC). The inspection was preceded by tests using a special installation prepared for this purpose.
This task was the final of a long-term development project consisting in the construction of an ultrasonic intelligent tool detecting cracks in the structure of pipeline walls.
The data results collected during the inspection were confirmed by digs. Crack detection technology gives the operator additional information on the technical condition of the installation.
Naftoserwis offers pipeline inspections using “crack detection” technology in diameters between 20 and 24 inches.
